توضیحات بیشتر:

NCBI که مخفف  The National Center for Biotechnology Information      یا مرکز ملی اطلاعات زیست‌فناوری می باشد. از جمله از وظایف این مرکز می‌توان به موارد زیر اشاره نمود:

1. ایجاد ساختار برای تحلیل و ذخیره‌سازی داده‌های تحقیقات ژنتیک، بیوشیمی و زیست‌شناسی مولکولی
2. ترویج و شیوع استفاده از این دیتابیس‌ها در میان جامعه محققین
3. هماهنگ‌سازی اطلاعات با دیگر مراکز مشابه جهانی
4. پیشبرد پژوهش در تحلیل‌های رایانه‌ای روابط کارکردی-ساختاری مولکول‌های کلیدی

Translate : It is a tool which allows the translation of a nucleotide (DNA/RNA) sequence to a protein sequence

Open Reading Frame Finder: ORF finder searches for open reading frames (ORFs) in the DNA sequence you enter. The program returns the range of each ORF, along with its protein translation. Use ORF finder to search newly sequenced DNA for potential protein encoding segments, verify predicted protein using newly developed SMART BLAST or regular BLASTP.
